One of the gifts sent to me last week was a ‘Dapper Reading’ Wrist Watch from Daniel Wellington (DW) and I thought it deserves its own post because they are so plain, simple, trendy, lovely and classy.
They reached out to me as a blogger to review one of their watches and share my personal thoughts.
Daniel wellington is a Swedish watch company that specialises in quality and timeless watches. They focus on providing fashion conscious customers with a slim, edgy wristwatch. I was asked to peruse their website and pick a watch of my choice.
My choice was centered on the fact that I needed a black strap wrist watch at the time and the timing was perfect.
They have the option of either rose gold or silver on the watch itself, and I didn’t think twice before going with rose gold. You can check it out here. It sure does look good with my black strap. I am not particularly a gold or silver person, I just go with whatever suits my mood, eyes and sense at every point I have to choose either.
It cost $219 which is equivalent of about 45,000 in Naira if using current bank rate and about 78,000 if using the black market rate or is it called parallel market? Whatever though…very annoying.
The wrist watch got to me here in Nigeria in about a week via UPS. I wasn’t home the first time delivery was attempted and the delivery guy had to come back the next day. It came very well packaged.
When I opened it, it was in a beautiful box. Truth is, I fell in love with the box before the watch. LOL The box is soo high quality.
The box contained the watch, manual and some other information.
They have a very nice and elegant collection of watches for purchase on their site. You can also buy individual straps, instead of buying a whole new watch. Be sure to check out the watches on their site. Online window shopping is free. *wink*
I think Daniel Wellington watches range from about $135-$250, but hey! Good news! I have got discount code for my lovely readers.
Your discount code is ‘elsieisyDW’ and you be sure to get 15% off every purchase on Danielwellington.com with that code.
This would make an excellent gift for that special someone and every watch lover.
PS: The correspondent was very professional and friendly. I must confess she has been really patient with my busy schedule.
