Social Media has become more than just an online platform, it has evolved into a place where people cultivate lasting relationships, seal business deals, derive inspiration for innovation, and even get started on the way to marital bliss. It has become a hub of possibilities.
People on Social Media are beyond being termed ‘virtual’ based on the impact they have had on real-life situations in recent pasts. This metamorphosis is what has inspired the LAGOS FACEBOOK HANGOUT which is set to debut in December 2016.
The LAGOS FACEBOOK HANGOUT is an event where users of Facebook (and other social platforms) come together to meet, have fun, and network. It is also a platform for people to meet and have a tete-a-tete with their favourite Social Media Personalities. The event also creates an avenue for business users of Social Media to showcase their products, services and increase their prospects list amidst the fun and fanfare of the Hangout.
“We want to use this platform to achieve many things; to reduce trust issues that comes with meeting people via social media, to promote real friendships and relationships on social media, help major influencers reach out and increase their database, boost brand awareness for small and medium scale businesses (and business people) on social media.” Says Olumide Lawrence, the chief convener of the event, who is a Media Strategist and Relationship Blogger at glowville.net
The event is set to feature a Blue Carpet Session, fun activities and games to improve bonding, music, dance, talk sessions, networking, and showcasing of different products, service and talents. There will also be food and drinks at the venue for attending guests to buy from registered vendors.
The LAGOS FACEBOOK HANGOUT is set to hold on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at KERNEL PARK, Surulere, Lagos. The event is a daytime affair which is set to open by noon and round off by 7pm.
Social Media users who are interested in attending are advised to register for the event at bit.ly/lagoshangout and make a payment of Two Thousand Naira (N2000) which is the registration fee for the event. This payment is to be made on or before November 30. Payments after the deadline or at the venue will be Three Thousand Naira (N3000).
Facebook users are therefore enjoined to take advantage and register early, inviting their friends to the event and end their year on a high.
Media partners for this year’s edition of the Hangout are Olorisupergal.com, Thenet.ng, LazyWrita Media, Vozempire.com, and ELSiEiSY.
