In celebration of Bloomsday, the Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria has launched a writing competition. Bloomsday is the commemoration of the life and works of James Joyce, the great Irish writer. Every year on June 16, readers of James Joyce and literary-minded people all over the world celebrate Joyce’s extraordinary life and the global impact of his writing.
For this competition, the embassy calls for poems exploring the theme of isolation.
Submission Details
1. Poems should respond to the theme of isolation
2. Entrants must be based in Nigeria
3. No more than 40 lines of poetry
4. Email submissions to abujaembassy@dfa.ie
Winning Prize
The winner gets a cash prize of 50,000 NGN and publication on Brittle Paper.
