Kate Hudson is becoming the latest celebrity to get a book deal aimed at inspiring women to live healthy lifestyles.
Dey Street Books announced it will publish a health-and-wellness book by actress Kate Hudson, 36, mother of two, daughter of Goldie Hawn, stepdaughter of Kurt Russell, and most recently an athletic sportswear entrepreneur as founder of Fabletics.
In Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body, to be published in February, Hudson will offer “health and wellness inspiration and motivation for women, addressing fitness, nutrition and a mindful lifestyle,” according to a Dey Street press release.
In a statement, Kate Hudson said the book is not meant to be instructional but inspirational and motivational in helping people, especially women, who want to shift to healthier living.
“I’m not a fan of perfectionism,” Hudson said. “I think it’s all about finding the balance between enjoying your life and being as mindful as possible when it comes to your overall well-being. Trends and fads come and go and are not a long-term solution. “
Kate Hudson’s sportswear brand, designed to promote women’s “health, community, determination, passion and joy,” shows she’s just the person to inspire women to get up and get active, according to Dey Street.
The publisher said Hudson will share what works for her in the hopes that it will help women find what works for them, experimenting with movement, exercise and diet.
Hudson, best known for Almost Famous, currently co-stars with Bill Murray in Rock the Kasbah, and also is the voice of Mei Mei in Kung Fu Panda 3.
