Benefits of visiting the gym
I finally got to registering myself at a gym close to my house and I must say I feel very happy taking up this new challenge. Knowing that I love new challenges, it’s even more exciting to take up this type that’d make me feel much better about myself. There has been this notion that to use the gym, you have to be wanting to build up muscle and strength and for overweight individual who want to trim. But that’s really not the case. In my own case, my weight is quite perfect for my age but I had totally stopped feeling good about my body curves and increase in fat. I wasn’t feeling as sexy as should and I knew I need to hit the gym.
There are also people who go the gym to add up. The fact remains that there are several reason to hit the gym and exercise regularly and I will be sharing them below:
Weight Control
You do love your size and shape at the moment but if you do not control it, you will soon find yourself with more fats and folds…growing bigger. You never really notice the fat until your favorite dress don’t fit no more. Going to the gym every day will help you control your weight – you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn which will help you prevent excess weight gain or help maintain weight loss.
Improves Stamina
This is one of the reasons I decided it was time for me to hit the gym. My stamina was close to zero and using the staircase instead of the lift became more of a chore. When you exercise, your body uses energy to keep going. It improves your stamina by training your body to become more efficient and use less energy for the same amount of work. As your conditioning level improves, your heart rate and breathing rate return to resting levels much sooner from strenuous activity.
Good Heart
Exercising daily strengthens your heart and allows it to pump more efficiently with less strain. Going to the gym for 30 minutes a day five days per week may lower your risk of developing heart disease or having a stroke, says the CDC, and going for a longer period often can lower your risk even more.
Bonding
Of course there wasn’t a way I wasn’t going to slip this in. At the gym, I met a couple sweating it out together and it was so sweet to the eye. They looked well over 40 and looked so good too. So visiting the gym is another way to have some quality fun time with your partner. Shed that stubborn fat together and laugh about it together.
Enhances your sex life
Not only will you become fitter, sharper, and more confident, feel sexier and able to keep going longer, but studies have shown that regular physical activity can lead to enhanced arousal for women and men who exercise regularly are less likely to have problems with erectile dysfunction.
Reduces stress and anxiety
Does your 8 to 5/9 to 6 have you feeling down? Is the entrepreneurial hustle weighing you down? Hitting the gym is one of the best stress relievers you can find. A workout is a great way to relieve the pressure of life. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. So hit the gym, turn that phone off and do your body some good.
Feel better about yourself
I feel good when I leave the gym. It feels good to know that I am taking out time to do myself good. Almost close to how I feel after leaving a SPA. If you look good, you are going to feel better about yourself.
Mental Health
By treating your body right you’ll start to feel better mentally. According to Wiki, Physical exercise has established efficacy as an antidepressant in individuals with depression and current medical evidence supports the use of exercise as both a preventive measure against and an adjunct therapy with antidepressant medication for depressive disorders.
Good Sleep
I personally sleep well these days. I do not have to find sleep because I have it within. Are you suffering from insomnia? Then I think it’s time for you to hit the gym. A 2010 review of published scientific research suggested that exercise generally improves sleep for most people, and helps sleep disorders such as insomnia. One study found that 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous activity per week can provide up to a 65% improvement in sleep quality
Other Health Benefits
Regular exercise may lower your risk of developing diabetes, metabolic syndrome and some types of cancer, such as colon cancer and breast cancer. Combining aerobic exercise with strength training at the gym helps your muscles, ligaments, joints and tendons remain in good shape, which will make you stronger and more flexible. This is particularly important as you age or face problems such as arthritis. You may lower your risk of falling or fracturing your hip, which may negatively impact your life, especially in your older years
Flexibility
Stretching exercises are also important for good posture. They keep your body limber so that you can bend, reach and twist. Improving your flexibility through exercise reduces the chance of injury and improves balance and coordination. If you have stiff, tense areas, such as the upper back or neck, performing specific stretches can help “loosen” those muscles, helping you feel more relaxed.
Nice body
I mean, that’s the main aim. Asides being healthy, I long for a nice hot body and I am working towards getting it. It’s not enough to look at the hot bods on Instagram and wish you can get it. You actually can, all you need is to hit the gym, work and be dedicated. Being healthy is always great. It’s good for your body and it’s just good for your overall health and longevity. However, a lot of times being healthy will earn you a nice body too.
Strengthens and Tones
Exercising with weights and other forms of resistance training develops your muscles, bones and ligaments for increased strength and endurance. Your posture can be improved, and your muscles become more firm and toned. You not only feel better, but you look better, too!
Meet new people
I am not very good at meeting people but the gym is a good place to do so. The gym can be a great place to socialize and see your friends. Now I’m not saying let it get in the way of your workout, but it can be a great way to catch up with new buddies.
Finally, Its plain healthy
Going to the gym is healthy. If you’re just starting and feel like you aren’t making progress, give yourself a pat on the back for at least making the effort. Going to the gym is just the first step. It’s going to take work and dedication. It puts you on the path of healthy lifestyle.
Last last ehn, don’t overdo when you start. Be like me. Of course you need to improve with time and you must deliberately want to. But you cannot resume today and want to rub shoulders with people who have been doing it for months. It’s alright if you aren’t the most motivated individual in the gym. As long as you are trying and want to improve yourself you already have the recipe for success. You just have to dedicate yourself and you will find success. It may take a while but you will get there. So get in the gym and be active and live a healthy lifestyle.
The gym instructor made the video below, of my friend and I on the first day: *wink*

I like the fact that you are everywhere.
Most of the things you assert is supprisingly accurate and that makes me wonder why I hadn’t looked at this with this light before. This piece really did switch the light on for me as far as this specific issue goes. Nevertheless at this time there is 1 position I am not necessarily too comfy with so whilst I attempt to reconcile that with the central idea of the point, let me observe exactly what the rest of your readers have to point out.Nicely done.
Visiting the gym offers an array of benefits that go beyond physical fitness. Remember, consistency and proper technique are essential to reap these benefits fully. Embrace the gym as a gateway to a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling life!
